Today I went Trine's Garden were I saw various native plants and learned about the benefits of having them grow in your garden. These attracted many pollinators like bees and butterflies. These native plants also attracted dragonflies which reduce the amount of mosquitos in the yard. Despite a lot of these plants looking like weeds when they first start to grow they are actually native plants that are good for our environment and some even grow flowers. Additionally I learned more about milkweed and there growing process, this process is called sleep creep reap. They can take up to 3 years to completely grow and when they spread throughout gardens they are attached by the root. We hope to educate more neighbors and building more butterfly farms in the area.
