Our Mission
The Iconic orange and black Monarch butterfly has been reclassified as endangered by the International
Union for Conservation of Nature
Our mission is to investigate the ecological impact of butterflies by raising awareness and establishing small-scale butterfly research farms along the East Coast. We aim to understand and promote the critical role butterflies play in environmental health, recognizing that their ecological significance extends far beyond their visual beauty. Through careful evaluation of their habitat needs, we have identified milkweed as a crucial element in supporting butterfly populations, ensuring both their survival and the health of the ecosystems they help sustain.
The question that started my research project
Why have we seen a precipitous decline of monarch butterflies?

Why Monarchs Matter
Monarchs are essential pollinators and indicators of a healthy environment. Here's why they matter:
Pollination
Monarchs help pollinate plants that support biodiversity and food production
Environmental Health
A decline in monarchs signals broader ecosystem issues that affect many species.
Cultural Symbol
Monarchs represent resilience and are a symbol of nature’s interconnectedness.
